Spunbond polyester RagMaskMaxes - 500 GSM each

 

One bag (£1.50) three masks. Four layers of 125 GSM spunbond polyester (from recycled drinks bottles) makes 500 GSM.  The beading of the bag once snipped off provided ready-made straps :)

This is the sixth set of particle tests I have participated in (March 2022) [5th] [4th] [3rd], [2nd], [1st]

Test result show that spunbond polyester isn't as good as spunbond polypropylene for particle filtration.

If hand-washed and dried (hand soap) it loses filtration efficiency in a similar way to SBPP.

It is currently more expensive, and definitely harder to work with for mask making so it 

probably not worth pursuing in a quest for "washable 95"
